Cleared ServiceNow Jobs in 2026: Secret, TS/SCI and Public Trust Roles at the Federal Integrators

Now Contracts Research · Oct 27, 2026

A quarter of US ServiceNow developer demand asks for a clearance. Leidos, GDIT, Booz Allen, CACI, ICF and Guidehouse post the roles directly, pay $100K to $250K, and cannot offshore the work. What the clearance levels mean, who sponsors, and how to find the roles.

The federal government and its contractors are the single largest buyer of ServiceNow implementation labour in the United States. ServiceNow's platform is on nearly every agency's ITSM, and its SecOps, IRM and HRSD lines are spreading through defence, homeland security and civilian agencies. The people who build and run those instances need clearances, and the companies that hire them post the roles on their own career sites rather than through staffing firms.

That shows up in the numbers. Of the first 60 "ServiceNow developer" results on a general board in October 2026, ten came from federal contractors (SAIC, CACI, Akima, Chenega, DMI) and the employer-direct inventory on career sites is 27% federal integrators. Roughly one in four US developer postings names Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI or Public Trust.

The clearance levels, briefly

  • Public Trust. A background investigation, not a national-security clearance. Common on civilian-agency programs (health, treasury, transport). Many employers will sponsor it for a strong candidate.
  • Secret. The entry level of national-security clearance; most DoD ITSM and ITOM programs require it. Sponsorship exists but takes months, so holders are preferred.
  • Top Secret and TS/SCI. Intelligence-community and sensitive defence programs. Rarely sponsored from scratch for a developer; these postings pay the most ($160K to $250K at the partners and integrators) and are the least contested.

Postings often state the requirement in the title ("ServiceNow Developer – Secret", "ServiceNow Architect (TS/SCI)"), which is why this board tags them automatically.

Who posts the roles

Employer Where What they post
Leidos Reston VA and nationwide ~100 US roles mentioning ServiceNow; developers, architects, ITOM engineers
GDIT Falls Church VA; Offutt AFB; remote ServiceNow Architect, Senior ServiceNow Developer, remote-eligible cleared roles
Booz Allen Hamilton Washington DC, Chantilly VA ServiceNow Developer, ServiceNow Architect
CACI Nationwide ServiceNow developers and platform engineers, junior to senior ranges
ICF Nationwide, Public Trust ServiceNow Architect including AI-focused roles
Guidehouse DC metro ServiceNow consultants and developers for civilian agencies
Deloitte DC metro TS/SCI ServiceNow developers, cyber ServiceNow analysts

SAIC, Akima, Chenega, DMI, AgreeYa and Capgemini Government Solutions also post cleared ServiceNow work, mostly through general boards for now.

Why it pays

Cleared ServiceNow work is insulated from the two forces pushing on the rest of the market. It cannot be moved offshore, which caps the supply of candidates at the pool of US citizens who hold or can obtain a clearance. And federal programs change slowly, so the vendor's push toward AI-assisted configuration reaches them last. The result is that federal integrators post permanent ranges of $100K to $200K for developers and up to $250K for architects, with less of the three-levels-in-one-posting spread that partners use.

How to find them

  • Use the Cleared filter in the navigation, or browse the Clearance Required, Secret and TS/SCI tags.
  • Filter by Public Sector for agency work that does not need a national-security clearance.
  • Check the DC metro location pages (Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia): most cleared ServiceNow roles are there, with secondary clusters at military installations in Nebraska, Colorado, Texas and Alabama. The geography post maps the clusters by town and base.
  • If you do not hold a clearance, look for "ability to obtain" in the posting and for Public Trust roles; both are realistic entry points.
